Definition: The symbol in poetry are words that make the reader feel the 5 senses. They are smell, taste, touch, hear, and sight.

Explanation: Symbolism in poetry is used to intrigue the reader and to help him see what is going on in the story of the poem. This will add more interest for the reader.
