Vocabulary

Exposition: The beginning of the story where it gives info about characters, the setting, and it introduces the problem.

Example: One day Jim the worm, and his friends, Bob the worm and Joe the worm, were walking around a yard with tall grass and trees at night.


Rising action: In the rising action, it gives us info about what will happen to the characters and it brings a problem.

Bird: Mwahahahahaha!!!

Example: While they were on there stroll, Bob was attacked and swooped up from a bird and brought to the birds nest. Jim and Joe were terrified!




Climax: The climax is the point of the story where it leaves people on the edge of there seats.

Lets Go Bob!

Example: Jim and Joe found a rubber band and made a catapult. Jim then got on and Joe shot him towards the bird.



Falling action: a falling action is a time where the people can just relax after the climax.


Example: When all the worms were united, they went back home to the worm colony and caught there breath.

oh gee! is everyone alright?

Conclusion/ Resolution: Every resolution in each story is different. they could end with a big party, or lead to another problem leading to a second series.

PARTY!

Example: In the end the other worms in the colony had a party for there safety and preyed that no one else will get hurt.
